Smith and Hooper Merlot 2017

Burger night kinda wine.

A fair rendition of Merlot without setting off any fireworks. Sure, you can throw the "Merlot is boring" jibe out there, but in fairness, it's a good, well-made drink.

Sprinkles of herbs, tobacco and good fruit come together delivering a wine with good body and respectable length. There's comfort factor here. It's a pretty handy type which will win fans.

Drink now to five years.
