Dutschke GHR Neighbours Shiraz 2016

I haven't looked at a Dutschke wine for what seems an eternity. I spotted this on the shelf at the bottle shop while away in Melbourne and couldn't resist. It seemed the best of a mountain of commercial wines around it.

It's a big guy with a thud of oak to back it up. Cedar and wood spices wrap themselves tightly around dark plum and red berry fruit. Milk chocolate feels through the mouth, cloves and sandalwood add interest too. Sweet oak spices play their hand with some fruit sweetness evident too. It will develop further with more time.

Drink now to eight years.
