Oakridge 864 Henk Vineyard Aqueduct Block Pinot Noir 2018

Henk is the man. "Tough as trout," is how winemaker David Bicknell once described him to me. I love the wines coming off this site too. I said the same in my review for the Local Vineyard Series Pinot. This is a beauty. A wonderfully constructed piece.

Get coiled up in the tension here. It's real and captivating slowly releasing its grip and opening up its soul over a couple of days of tasting. Cherries and earthiness, fine spices and delicate pepper. Yes! There's restrained power too. The type that has you asking more questions as you bury yourself in intrigue. Soft and delicate yet some great density. Beautiful tannins heighten the moreishness factor. Mind you, that fuller mouth feel keeps you coming back for more. And I did, time and time again. Superb.

Drink to eight years+
