A great Coonawarra Shiraz with plenty of depth and generosity to sink your teeth into.
It's the no frills delivery and presence of this wine which I warm to. No fancy winemaking techniques, just tried and tested techniques. And that's ok sometimes - like this. Plus, a few years of bottle age comes as a bonus.
Emerse yourself in dense plums and black fruits. Dried herbs and a slash of mint add savoury appeal. Some cedary oak is evident but its not over the top. Black earth steps up before close as fine spices and dusty tannins clutch to a long and persistent finish. A big thumbs up.
