Oh I'm loving the Chardonnays coming out of the Yarra of late. They've been impressive for some time but that dial has been cranked up once more. This is a beauty.
Take a whiff and smell the ocean. Oyster shell for days. Delicious!
There are cashews and hazelnuts plus restrained white fleshed stone fruit, almond meal and whipped butter cream. I keep sticking my nose in the glass and that oyster shell - wow. A generous squeeze of lemons keeps the beat as a grapefruit acidity whips up the tail. Keep this in the ocean. Oysters or even Orange Roughy with burnt butter and dill.
