The essence of a rock solid Barossa Shiraz. There's so much to absorb. I see it as a window into the deep ocean of this district's flagship variety. A classic.
Dark berry fruits and red plums set the pace. Some Cherry Ripe appeal runs a neat chord through the mid palate with a suggestion of cherry pie. Scents of clover are never far away from Soul Growers wines with Christmas cake like spices on close. There's a little warmth but it's something I find easy to snuggle up to. It's the kind of wine you'd open with friends and it evaporates before your eyes. I suggest to hang on to it for a few years but it's gravitational pull makes that effort futile. Go here.
