Tasmanian Pinot Noir takes the mind to places of elegance.
But the same can't be said about this wine. I bought this off a wine list when out for a meal recently. The choices were limited and I took a punt on this Pinot, one I've never seen before.
A big, blustering kind of fellow. Quite firm, it's stewed and concentrated - a far cry from the pretty and dainty Pinots that come from Australia's deep south. Bitsy in delivery, some mouth warmth made me even more curious and confused. Not for me thanks.
