Left on full lees in French oak, vanilla cream, a push of lemon juice plus a delicate nuttiness all work in unison as they stride out together. An ever so subtle ginger spice ticks away in the background, but this is drying. Fresh lemony acidity clicks into gear but I keep coming back to the dryness as it draws saliva from the mouth. It may be a detractor for some I would suggest. Mind you, this Chardonnay would pass the roast chook test but I'm sure there are more sophisticated intentions for it.
