Tim Smith Wines Grenache 2020

Love Grenache? Introduce yourself to Tim Smith. You need to. This is slick. Luxurious even. A sweet ride through the Grenache pleasure zone - akin to Smith cruising the back roads of Vine Vale on his beloved Triumph. Wind through the hair, the rubber hugging each turn, this is a sweet ride.

The label and entire range has taken a facelift. Previously white, Wesley Snipes once said, "Always bet on black". Spin the wheel and you win ten times over with this beauty.

From a vintage that saw yields impacted by the drought, only half the normal production has hit the shelves with this 2020 release. Four Barossa vineyards were blended to create this wine.

Red fruit centred yet this is laced with delicate spices that are etched into its frame. A shade of blueberries shimmer in the distance before raspberries and red cherries arrest your attention once again. Exceptionally well structured with a fine savoury edge and a deft touch of earthiness, this is juicy and sophisticated all at the same time. Recommended serving suggestion - don't share it with anyone. I didn't. Brilliant Grenache!
