The density and length are the highlights for me - there's plenty here to dig your claws into. All the varietal characteristics of a good Shiraz stand tall, but the fruit drives through flanked by dried herbs, exotic spices and balanced oak. Some leathery notes are starting to develop too. Fruit, savoury tones, acid, oak all swim in sync. Well worth a look.
Drink now to eight years.
