It's always great to sit wines such as these side by side. The No.1 Shiraz calls for steak night whereas the No. 2 thinks it's a bit more fancy.
The shame is, it doesn't follow through with the fancy footwork and is best described as a rock-solid Shiraz.
The fruit for this wine is sourced from the Moppity Vineyard and both the No.1 and No.2 are made in a similar fashion to express the region.
Sweetness early before red plum and handfuls of spice. It feels rushed to taste but the aromas don't give that impression. Good drinking but given the choice, I'd go to the No.1.
