A tannic beast - you can see why this is released with a couple of years under its belt.
There's still plenty of time left to tame this muscular beauty. Dark fruit, blackberry leaf, purple flowers, dark chocolate and plums all mesh with ease. A tension is evident, particularly smack bang in the middle of the palate. A wine that walks with a street tough swagger, dried oregano makes a move with time in the glass, but it's that sturdy presence is what leans itself to hearty dishes. Bone dry, powdery tannins are brushed atop the tongue and seemingly just refuse to leave. A variety you'll love or not so. I'm in love.
