The 2018 was a straight Merlot Rosé. This 2019 release comes with some Shiraz thrown in the mix.
The Shiraz component has made its mark from the outset, too, as the colour is slightly darker than the pale salmon seen in the previous.
Watermelon husk, cranberries and red currants plus pomegranate all contributing to a red fruit-driven palate. Red apple skin washes through late with soft peppery spices finishing dry. Afternoon drinks in the shade anyone? This will hit the spot.
