No less than 13 parcels of fruit contributed to this 2016 release.
The fruit sits on the denser side of the Pinot spectrum. Think dark cherries, sauteed strawberries plus scents of smoke, wood spices and undergrowth too. The density is captivating with licks of soy swooping late. Bright citrusy acidity keeps the palate on its toes, but if anything, the fruit seems to stop short and doesn't flow through to the back as much as I'd like. An glass for me will do the job.
Drink to five years.
