Gee whiz - bang the bargain drum hard. This Viognier from the Riverina region was certainly a little surprise packet.
The label says "White Viognier"... Hmm, I'm not sure you can get a red one. Alas...
It's such a good wine. Damn, it punches above its weight.
Some honeyed tones are present, but its the apricot nectar, fleshy peach and fine ginger spices which seal the deal. There are Viogniers double the price not delivering as well as this does. Some texture with a dash of grapefruit on close. Clever for the money.
Drink now to five years.
