A mate of mine threw me this bottle which he picked up on Vinomofo. The Powell & Son label is now no more due to a bust up between the two and the 'fo have come in to clear some of the stock. If you like 'em big, this is your weapon.
Cleared for around $10 a bottle, it is rich, dense and ripe. Very ripe. Fruit cake and sultanas fill the mouth. It's warm too, not so much the cuddly warmth but alcohol warmth. A whack of baking spice lets loose too. Add in some chocolate and earthiness, there is cured meat too but that warmth and spice puts all before it in a sleeper hold and dominates the contest.
Perhaps time will calm it?
