Ten Minutes by Tractor Judd Chardonnay 2016

Power with poise. Take with two hands and on bended knee. What a beauty!

Only the third release of this Judd single vineyard Chardonnay, the vineyard sits on the southern slopes of Main Ridge with a westerly aspect. The steepest block and the highest sitting at 206m above. The P58 clone was planted in 1990.

Partial MLF and 17% new French oak for 11 months. Whole bunch pressed and wild yeast fermented.

Aromas come across compact and tightly knit. Apricot kernel, vanilla, shades of brioche and jersey caramel.

Soft and pure through the mouth, it fills out handsomely. Quite a proud wine, the velvety creaminess and spray of lemon is luscious. A faint touch of nougat and pineapple husk arrive with time in the glass. Fleshy white stone fruit floods the mouth late along with ginger spice making the mouth salivate through to a tight finish. Wow.

Drink now to ten years.
