I suspected this was from Coonawarra when tasting blind in a line up from various regions. No mention of winemaker nor where the wine is made.
Blackcurrant and blackcurrant leaf prominent early. Some tilled earth and fine spice unwind through the mouth with ease. Dark berry fruit and black plums follow offering good support with expected mint and dried herbs. A spice rub adds a neat touch lingering well over a minute. The price for the bottle is a stretch.
Drink now to eight years.
