d'Arenberg The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Here's a big guy. The serious business called upon, that's for sure. Bouncer material. A burly, strong type with broad shoulders. Bloody tasty too.

I poured it, and after a whiff, I left if for a couple of hours. Undoubtedly, one for the long haul. Decant well before drinking now, but you'd be better off sticking it in a dark place and coming back in years to come.

Dripping in black fruits, tar and sheets of dark chocolate. Peel back a few layers to find some earthiness, mint, dried herb and dried leaf characters. There's a bitterness there too - bitter cocoa more so. It's drying and sapping but hard to resist backing up for some more. Charm this brut of a warrior and pleasure will be your friend. A generous and quite rewarding Cabernet.

Best drinking 2020 for a decade+
