A really enjoyable wine to kick back and sip without a worry in the world. As per the label: Single vineyard, whole berry, small batch open ferment. Matured in 2-3 year old French oak. The king of the Vale.
Rustic appeal here. It's almost as though it's got the scruffed hair but clean pressed shirt look going on. Boysenberry and plum line up side by side. A kick of earth is met by smokey feels with a soft touch of tannin helping it along the way. Baking spices chime it at the death too lingering long - nice touch that.
It's a damn easy slurp, that's for sure. The type of wine you'd take to a gathering of friends and be proud to share - and you'll win a few more friends for your trouble. Great stuff!
Drink now to eight years.
