Sauvignon Blanc from Western Australia's Great Southern region. Man, I feel like I've just been whacked by the acid stick.
Satisfying aromas of passionfruit husk, green melon and cut grass give a good intro. In the mouth, it's quite tight with firm acid taking hold. Some phenolic grip too but that acid cuts deep and reminds me of walking through vineyards and tasting underripe grapes. Those who've done it know the acid whack I refer to. I'll pass on this.
Drink now.
