Tyrrell's Brookdale Semillon 2017

One of eleven Semillons in the Tyrrell's range. It's hard to shake the prestige this winery has for the variety.

All the ducks line up from the outset but they seem to get fright and fly off. Lemon juice and lemon rind hop to it early. Citrus goodness makes a good play early. Crisp acid frames the fruit but the fruit thins out too quickly for mine leaving the mid-palate watery while lemon pith and a chalky feel hang long. An easy quaff no less.

Drink now to five years.
