Shining like a beacon. Super Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley.
From a warmer year, most of the fruit comes from the original 1983 plantings. Racked to barrel and whole bunch pressed, made without yeast or acid additions. Each block was kept separate in barrel for 10 months.
Peachy with fleshy white stone fruit, touches of biscuit and cashews stroll through the mouth at ease. Possessing an inescapable supreme length, the leesy complexity oozes cool. Acid is well pitched and nicely balanced with a creamy persistent length. A great Chardonnay and one which will ensure pleasure for up to a decade.
