Stomp Fiano 2016

Hunter Valley Fiano certainly has found its niche in the market. This 2016 release from Stomp is a beauty!

It was great to see this alongside the current 2018 release. This wine has nestled into a neat groove and has developed more depth and persistence, whereas the 2018 is clean and fresh.

Lots to peel back and discover here. Loaded with mandarin peel, citrus blossom and pear aromas, the fruit the mouth is generous with impressive width. White stonefruit, lemon juice and poached pear roll through with ease. A raw nuttiness and delicious creamy texture unfurls slowly in the background and ensures its hand is seen late. Soft spices cling to a long finish delivering almost cinnamon like feels. I could drink a lot of this.

Drink now to three years.
