Jilyara are relatively new on the scene. This Williams' Block is the flagship range and comes from their best parcels of Margaret River fruit. There is a Cabernet Sauvignon in this range too.
Scents of brioche, fig, barbecued peach, struck match and almond meal get you in the mood. Grapefruit and white fleshed stonefruit come in generous handfuls. Lemon juice throws a lasso around the mouth with a touch of nuttiness and a lick of caramel for good measure filling the mouth. There's a tension evident via the grapefruit acidity ensuring it will develop beautifully over the medium term. A label to watch.
Drink to six years.
