The furious pace of vintage found a victim and this wine is the result. Mike Redman made an error during pump overs by marrying two batches together to create a Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot blend (44/28/28). It appears Mike has magic hands because this little creation is pretty smart.
This found its feet after a couple of days of tasting. One for the cellar and you'll be rewarded.
Mouth-filling, you're not wanting for much with plenty of dark plums, blackberries, aniseed and old leather. A curious whiff of camphor has clung on for the journey but brush that aside and enjoy the deep rooted offerings. Dried sage, flashes of mint and dashes of thyme add to the meaty presence with fine spices scattered across the top. I could get comfortable with this - a roast meal or a wedge of dark chocolate planted in the corner of the mouth. Either or.
