Proper Rosé. Pretty scents, gorgeous fruit, it's just such a delightful drink.
From Hilltops Nebbiolo, this is the third release of the Indomitus Rosa.
Spending 12 hours on skins, it sat on lees for four months.
Attractive scents of dried red flowers, tangelo, cinnamon spice have a gravitating effect. It warmed up a little in the glass before I spied a hint mandarin peel too.
Bone dry, the fruit washes through the mouth with ease. Dried cranberries and red currants dance with grace and the copper and rose gold like appearance glistens. A creamy drive through the mouth just purrs. Quite simply, it's a beautiful wine from top to toe.
I could see the end of the bottle with ease. Maybe I did.
