Wynns Coonawarra Riesling 2019

It's been a while since I've had a look at a Wynns Riesling so I was keen to make up for lost time when I saw this within reaching distance.

I took a whiff and all I could smell was Sauv Blanc - seriously! I went back and couldn't shake it - all that gooseberry and grassy stuff. A friend nearby said the same. Bad luck or coincidence?

Some lemon sherbet and lemon zest rise up in part, and despite being clean and youthful, it stops short and lacks a bit of personality. You can do a better for the money. Not for me.
