Steels Gate Pinot Noir 2018

A great Pinot for those who like a bigger style. This Yarra Valley release reminds me a little of some Central Otago wines.
Sour dark cherry and dark plums lead the way with touches of char and cured meat. The density is captivating - dig your teeth into kind of stuff. There's some weight here that adds oomph. Autumnal leaves and undergrowth add savoury goodness. The acidty is well handled and starts to bring the mouth to water - nice! A long finish is the perfect icing on the cake. A big thumbs up from me.

Drink to six years+
