Pure Hunter Valley Chardonnay. Complex and balanced, this is an absolute beauty. An excellent way to bring up my 600th wine review for 2020.
Made entirely from the original 1960s plantings on Tyrrell's Short Flat vineyard, Chardonnay fans ought to get in the queue.
So delish, veneers of pleasure peel off with ease. Figs, white fleshed nectarine with an oh so delicious lick of vanilla. Wonderfully creamy, the oak has been handled superbly. A touch of flint and match stick only add to the pleasure. With a fabulous mouthfeel and forever long finish, it is hard to be drawn away. Bow at the altar of Hunter Chardonnay right here.
