Selena Estate BFR 2016

A big, robust wine from the Riverland's Selena Estate. An ideal partner for a cold night by the fire or steak on the coals.

A blend of Lagrein, Touriga and Cabernet, BFR quite simply stands for Big F#%@ing Red.

There is plenty of give here - mouthfilling and then some. It is drying too. Plum conserve, licorice and star anise tease early. Touches of clove and Dutch cocoa rise up. Damp earth swings by late. A sprinkle of brown spices adds further pleasure with a flourish of black cherries throughout. Silty tannins linger long. But to be succinct, it sure is a BFR.
