The latest addition to the Y Series clan, here is a wine that wants to be trendy and hang with the cool kids. It wears skinny jeans but they still flap in the breeze. It needs to fill out a bit more, but for $15, it's an easy, simple red.
Slipping through without much X factor, it does its work late, think cola, dark cherries and cranberries with a spicy finish - much spicier than expected. Grippy through the mouth, a dusty texture lingers. If anything, the finish gives the impression it's bigger than it is. Simple pleasures.
