I tasted this beside the 2008 - what a treat it was to receive a sample of each and witness firsthand the start of the journey and to see where things are headed. This is a keeper. Be patient and you'll be rewarded.

Some tension from the get-go, black and red fruits, rubs of black earth, it is dusty through the middle. Dutch chocolate is scattered about but geeI love the weight. A dash of dried herbs adds further pleasure. Cocoa like tannins push through gradually. Big love, and given what I saw with the 2008, time will turn this into a stunning wine too.
