Dodgy Bros Juxtaposed Old Vine Shiraz 2020

As winemaker Wes Pearson says, "An expression of the Sandy Corner Block in 2020 and nothing more." Wes sure does love to stay out of the way and let the fruit do the talking. An excellent wine, clear the landing strip and descend on this.

Planted in 1943, old Hungarian oak is used. Wes has some love affair with that wood and it just seems to work.

A wine of density, generous dark fruits and dark chocolate plus char muse with ease. It's loaded with earthy complexity and framed by fine tannins. Oh, and that weight. I just want to bathe in this Shiraz. Some time in the glass reveals a hint of dried leaves and soft spices find some momentum. It's just wicked. Big love.
