But all up, this is not very Pinot. It's more Ponting bludgeoning deliveries in a T20 than the finesse of Test cricket - that same test cricketer I saw score two centuries in one Test against the West Indies. This is firm. Very firm even after a couple of days tasting. Dusty and earthy through the mouth, it's big with a dark chocolate presence. Heavy plums weigh in too along with plentiful spice. It's more of a Shiraz than a Pinot and is hard to recommend.
