Coulter Wines Adelaide Hills Barbera 2016

The third and last of the new release Coutler Wines I have had the privilege to look at recently. All smart and very well made. Minimal intervention is Chris Coulter's aim. His wines are bottled without fining or filtration.

Wild fermentation was used with only four months spent in older French oak.

Dark cherries, some dried Mediterranean herbs with a kick of dirt road for good measure. There's a density and depth to the fruit but there's almost a line drawn in the mouth between the fruit and acid - oh to be picky.

Lots of smiles here no less. Drink now to five years.

91/100 - Very good
