Hand picked from a single vineyard, the fruit was whole bunch pressed and wild fermentation did its thing. Barrel fermentation in 40% new puncheons for ten months.
There's a gorgeous purity about this wine. What has me beaming is the grapefruit finish making my mouth water. Damn this is good.
Nectarine and white peach are partnered by struck match, toast and brioche. Through the mouth there's a tempered tension which oozes sophistication yet comes across calm and composed. Nougat with a fine acidity and a delicate chalky texture before a hint of smoke and that grapefruit seals the deal.
Absolute quality Chardonnay.
