Things are on the move at Penley Estate. Kate Goodman is now on board, the branding looks sharp, and the staff sound quite excited about what the future holds.
This Gryphon is a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
A terrific blend bounding along with plenty of energy. Blue fruits, dark berries, raspberry rope get into the groove early. Cassis and blackberry leaf aromas snuggle on in and take hold. Blackberry and blackcurrant fruit walk in unison with tempered oak. The finish is long and satisfying highlighted by plump and drying tannins. I could happily have a few glasses of this.
