In a line up of four Chardonnays, this got my attention for different reasons. Of the four, this was the only one from a warm region. Interestingly, this weighed in at 12.5% abv compared to the 13.5% of the others. I would have expected this to be riper.
For twenty bucks, this is a good drop - no mistake. But to be critical, the acid doesn't match the fruit. Yellow flowers, Nice biscuits and a peach skin texture roll through before yellow stone fruits sail with the breeze but it thin out quicker than expected.
Drink now to five years.
