Winemaker Julie Mortlock has worked with De Bortoli for 25+ years at the company's Riverina base. A new range, she says these DB Winemaker Selection wines are, "Go-to wine perfect for unwinding at the end of the day."
Yellow peaches wear the captains armband. Fruit and oak don't quite mesh with a warmth simmering through the mouth finishing spicy in some respects. A bit clunky, I found this hard to get through.
Of the two whites in the range, I'd prefer the Sauvignon Blanc.
