Syrah from Margaret River is not something you see all that often. Lots of Shiraz, yes, but not so the Syrah style. But throw your arms around this beauty - delightful.
A touch heavier than anticipated, whole bunches were the go. Matured in puncheons for 14 months.
There's plenty of elegance and pretty factor to this wine before you get plunged deep. Medium bodied no less, the earthy and clove characters have my attention. There's a slowly slowly release about the fruit as it unfurls in its own time. Cocoa-like tannins are feathered across the palate finish long and absolutely moreish. Impressive.
Drink to ten years.
