Granite, char and barbecued steak aromas get my attention before the pretty factor of violets arouse further interest. Some meatiness is evident in the mouth too as red fruits, red plums and blackberries get in deep. Lusciously medium bodied, the elegant flow of this Shiraz is the charming point though.
Black pepper tacks itself on just before close and hugs each turn finishing with fine tannins and a gorgeously lingering persistence. Highly recommended - again. The best release of this wine I've seen thus far.
