Spare a thought for these guys too. Due to horrific smoke taint damage impacting their fruit, they dropped all 100 tonnes of their 2020 harvest on the ground. All of it. The kicker is that the closest fire ground was 100km away. Heartbreaking. Family run, here's a business worth rallying around in these tough times as you won't see a 2020 Chardonnay release, let alone any 2020 wine from them in the future.
This Chardonnay is all yellow peaches and nectarines. Vanilla cream saunters through with ease as do touches of caramel before a surge of lemon on close. A wonderfully weighted wine which fills the mouth and is sure to please.
