Give this Polperro Chardonnay a go. It grows on you. The longer I left it in the glass the more I wanted in.
There is plenty of interest to absorb. Think custard apple, yellow flowers and stonefruit early. Some honeyed tones, golden apple and yoghurt all ripple through the mouth. Add some quince, fig and a faint nuttiness and you'll see what I mean about the interest. There's a little bit of weight but that just adds to the complexity before a splash of lemon juice on close. It's a wine to savour. I sure did.
