A generous Barossa Shiraz to wash down your weekend steak.
There is a heavy oak influence here - I picked up cedar, char and eucalypt from the get-go. Brown spices wriggle to the surface and time in the glass lets dark plums and dark chocolate get into their work. Things come full circle and the oak swings back into action bringing caramel and some sweetness. Dry and sapping, it's persistent, long and warm. Yep, a steak would go nicely.
