The Parched Crow Limited Release Shiraz 2020

From a challenging year, this is a respectable wine. It's a different label to the previous Shiraz releases from The Parched Crow given that the volume was down significantly in 2020 making this 'limited'.

A Shiraz that gets in deep, there is plenty of dark fruit to wrap your mitts around. A little sooty with a fine slippery feel, charred meats and pan juices ripple through the mouth. Medium-bodied, soft spices hug each curve of the mouth as it weaves about. There is no doubting the density of the fruit as it plants itself mid-palate, but you can't help but notice the smoke impact. Enjoy this with a char-grilled steak or a roast and you'd be none the wiser.

Drink to five years.
