A beautiful Shiraz from renowned Cabernet country. So often everything else in Coonawarra gets overlooked but here's yet another example of what the region can do so well.
Baked raspberry, red plums, plus scents of clove. Some black fruit to taste adds another level of interest. A shimmer of spice makes enough noise to be seen as the mouth fills out well from this full-bodied delight. An ever so slight mint character peers through but the dark fruits jostle it back in to place with bitter chocolate to finish. The only detractor is that it stops short - much earlier than anticipated. Still, good drinking.
Although three years old now, this will unfurl well for a decade or more.
