d'Arenberg The Footbolt Shiraz 2016

Reliability 101. A solid release year after year. Top value, too, and often around $15 in retail land - great buying.

Foot trod and basket pressed as all d'Arenberg wines are. Dense dark berry fruit, chocolate, lashings of green herbs plus a kick of black earth for good measure. A rush of sweet raspberry fruit comes late.  Juicy and voluptuous tannins walk with their chest puffed out. Good stuff.

Drink now but will sit to ten years.
