Here's a guy that just needs to relax a little. Tense and firm, it will be interesting to see where it goes with a little time.
Fruit and acid don't speak to one another all that amicably just yet. Although listed as a Shiraz Cabernet (44/43); Petit Verdot, Malbec, Tempranillo and Merlot add minute contributions.
It smells of all things Shiraz and Cabernet - dark berries, plums, roasted peppers with cameos from vanilla and some soft spice. Bright in the glass, it's a tightly wound spring. Red apple acidity takes the reigns and sits firm. Some chocolate washes through late. Sandy and puckering tannins to finish. It goes ok.
Best to drink 2020 to 2025.
