Pristine. An exquisite Pinot. Can I leave the review at that?
100% destemmed, 100% wild fermentation, 20% new oak from 28 year old vines off the highest TMBT vineyard perched at 206m above.
Slipping this Judd in the glass alongside the other Single Vineyard Pinots, it stands out for its velvety soft feels. Delicate red fruits and berries sit at the core flanked by kicks of earth and dried leaves. A fine dusting of brown spices crawl up late and sit long. The action curls up with coiled tension ready to unleash. An iron fist in a velvet glove of sorts.
There's depth through the middle which builds anticipation. It's ridiculously inviting and awfully seductive all at the same time.
Drink now to ten years.
